Community Restoration Initiatives

Vacant lots and poorly maintained properties can be a breeding ground for drugs and criminal activity. Weed & Seed’s Community Restoration Initiatives are designed to stop these problems before they start by rejuvenating vacant lots and decreasing the number of homes and apartments that do not comply with city codes.
Non-compliant property owners
Weed & Seed will assist neighborhoods with civil proceedings against owners not in compliance.
We will also explore processes for expediting city court and increasing the city counseler’s role in the
compliance process.
The Gardening Project
Weed & Seed partners with community groups to create gardens for flowers, vegetables and mulch on vacantlots
in Weed & Seed neighborhoods.
